McGinnis has completed numerous deployments and operations worldwide, leading over 400 SEAL operations with zero mishaps. During his career as a SEAL officer, McGinnis earned the reputation as "Top Operator," achieving the rank of Commander in May 2009. He served his country as the lead mission planner for the Special Operations Command (SOCCENT), where he completed a number of deployments in support of Operations Enduring Freedom, Iraqi Freedom and Noble Eagle.
