Job hunters now have a new way of finding better jobs, faster, thanks to a recent collaboration between Gina Hiatt, Ph.D., founder and president of Finish Agent, Inc., and Yorkworks, a company contracted with the Canadian government to guide unemployed and underemployed people back into the job market.With the launch of a new 3-month project, the two companies are working together to help 60 job seekers take the small, daily steps needed to make the giant leap back into the workplace.
“Repeatedly being rejected for jobs is psychologically punishing,” said Hiatt. “The task of finding a job, coupled with rejection and lack of response day after day, can take a toll on the spirit, and turn the process into an overwhelming and depressing journey.”
