A partnership between two Wisconsin-based organizations, IPS Testing and the Wisconsin Institute for Sustainable Technology (WIST) at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, combines private and academic resources, equipment and experience to benefit the global paper industry. This private-public collaboration may be a sign of things to come. This partnership is a smart move forward as it allows us to merge our resources and serve as another example of how private-public collaborations like this can maximize budgets and efficiencies while expanding services.Announcing a formal private-public joint venture to maximize expertise and resources, IPS Testing of Appleton, Wisconsin, has teamed up with the Wisconsin Institute for Sustainable Technology (WIST) at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point (UWSP). Together, the duo will test treated corrugated packaging materials for recyclability and provide certification of sustainable coating alternatives in the paper industry.
