Fans are generally getting a
better value for their beer-dollar this year with a few notable
exceptions.
SaveOnBrew.Com has released their 2012 beer price findings for all 30 NBA arenas and summarized them in an infographic.
While the lockout-condensed sixty-six game season has left some fans disappointed and attendance flat, fans are generally getting a better value for their beer-dollar this year with a few notable exceptions.
Overall, prices edged upward from the 2010-11 season by about 3 percent. Of course, when prices start at $4.75 every penny tacked-on hurts.
Five dollar beer can still be had while watching a San Antonio Spurs or OKC Thunder home game. The lowest price in the league for a cup of suds is found at Pepsi Center, where $4.75 will get you a sixteen ounce beer while catching a Denver Nuggets game.
The most expensive brew in the league is found watching either a Chicago Bulls or New Jersey Nets home game where $7.75 buys just sixteen ounces -- a whopping 48 cents per ounce. To put that in perspective, a six pack would set a thirsty basketball fan back almost 35 dollars.
Fans lucky enough to attend the 2012 NBA All Star Game this weekend will find 16 ounce beers for $5.25 at Orlando's Amway Center, not a bad deal to watch the premier players of the best basketball league in the world battle it out.
