Suit States Multiple Concussions Cause Dementia and Permanent Brain DamageFourteen additional players joined the roster of retired football players that allege in the suit "the NFL did not take reasonable steps necessary to protect its players from devastating head injuries, and did everything in its power to hide the issue and mislead players concerning the risks associated with concussions," according to the case filed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas, Houston Division.
The group filing suit (Case 4:12-cv-01296) now totals 46, says attorney Matthew C. Matheny of the Provost Umphrey Law Firm.
