Florida Musician Challenges You to Wake Up and "Teach The Dream"

12.03.2010 00:51
"Is love of the arts truly dead, or is the majority of the public just asleep at the controls?" That's the question that goes through the mind of Teach The Dream Foundation founder, John Seda. If the arts are to survive, then it has to start with recognizing and helping the gatekeepers of the arts; Teachers and Mentors.

Tampa, FL March 11, 2010 -- John Seda, of Rising Sun Music (http://www.risingsunmusicworld.com), created the Teach The Dream Foundation to revive the arts and help artists in ways they have not been helped before.

Sue Geier, Teach The Dream Foundation Board of Directors states, "We would like to see everyone step back and embrace the wonderful gifts that artists of all types (musicians, painters, dancers, etc.) give to society."

The foundation believes that without the necessary support given to Teachers and Mentors, the arts are slowly dying from neglect. John Seda has over 30 years in the music industry in varying roles such as musician, performer, songwriter, producer, sound engineer, and audio engineer. He has collaborated with Gold and Platinum selling artists, as well as with Grammy Award winners and Hall of Fame recipients. "Thirty plus years has taught me a lot and now, not only do I want to give back, I want to help teach others how to give back and be successful in the arts. I see the arts dying and people not educated about their craft, so that's why I created the Teach The Dream Foundation and the song Teach The Dream which will headline our Teach The Dream album project funded by Rising Sun Music."

On Friday, March 12, 2010, John Seda's Rising Sun Music will be shooting a music video at Tarpon Springs High School Leadership Conservatory for the Arts, 1411 Gulf Road Tarpon Springs, Florida 34689 from 7am-12pm (http://www.tarponspringsband.com). Paulemile Fequiere, Director/Producer will be shooting the video.

Paulemile states, "After finding out about how Kevin Ford, of the Tarpon Springs High School Leadership Conservatory for the Arts made this program into the international presence that it is, I was excited about combining the vision of our Teach The Dream Foundation with the mission of the program at Tarpon Springs High School, and creating an epic music video for Rising Sun Music who plans to support the Teach The Dream Foundation with a portion of proceeds from album sales. It is of paramount importance that we showcase our Teach The Dream song with a program like this that is the embodiment of that dream."

The music video will include Moriah Geier a student training at the world renowned Joffrey Ballet School in NYC, who by offering her a scholarship is making her dream come true. Also participating in the music video will be world renown drummer John Blackwell who lends his talents to many of the songs on the Rising Sun Music album project.

Teach The Dream Foundation Board of Directors member Willie Stewart says, "I believe that we have attracted numerous Hall of Fame and well known musicians to participate on the Rising Sun Music album project because of the unique mission of the Teach The Dream Foundation."
