Lieutenant Mark Liddi of the Office of the Sheriff, County of Santa Barbara stated, "Although it is early in the testing stages, the feedback I am receiving from the patrol deputies is nothing but positive. The Trikke Tribred Light Patrol platform makes its official law enforcement debut on October 3 at the International Association of Chiefs of Police in Denver, CO. At just 38 lbs, the Trikke Tribred is the only professional level patrol vehicle that can be easily folded and transported in the trunk of a police car. The ability of officers to drive to an area, unfold their Trikke Tribreds in seconds, and quickly get to their desired positions further differentiates the product from other solutions.
Built on top of the rugged and proven T8Air chassis, the Tribred boasts a lightweight, hot-swappable Lithium Ion power supply. The Tribred can travel 18 MPH on flat ground and offers up to 20 miles of range per charge. The average cost of a full charge is roughly seven cents - fractions of a cent per mile.
