Bill Unyi, founder of AirPurifiersDirect2U.com, releases their 2nd Quarter Financial results along with a list of their Top Selling air purifier products for the same time period.
Plainfield, IL September 11, 2008 -- Air Purifiers Direct 2U is feeling the effects of this sluggish economy just like everyone else. The slowdown in the 2nd Quarter is expected as shoppers are spending more time outdoors and less time online. A "Summer Slump" in the air purifier industry also occurs during this time, as well, and runs until early fall when the fall allergy season starts and the weather begins to get a little colder. The colder weather and fall allergy season brings shoppers back online and sales start to pick-up until the slowdown again the following spring.
AirPurifiersDirect2U.com reported only a slight increase in sales revenue from the same time period in 2007. "We expected the 2nd Quarter to be slow, but not to the extent that is was this year," states Bill Unyi, founder of Air Purifiers Direct 2U. Unyi continues, "The casual air purifier shopper is nowhere to be found. The majority of our customers these days are only purchasing air purifiers to help them with their asthma or other allergies. Those purchases are made out of necessity for those customers. They need an air purifier to help them breathe better as opposed to the other customers that just want an air purifier for other reasons."

Overall, 2008 has been a much better year for them than 2007 in regards to total sales volume, but growth in 2007 was steady throughout the year compared to this year. 2008 has been a little disappointing for them in regards to sales volumes per month leveling off so early in the year.
